Leveling up only occurs in town. When a character gains the amount of experience listed on the table above they must level up.
1 - Chose 1 ability card with a level equal to or less than the characters new level and add it to the Active Ability Card Pool.
Note: At the start a scenario a character selects cards from their active pool to bring into the battle with them equal to the number in the top right corner of their character mat All level 1 and X ability cards form the start of this pool.
2 - Choose and mark 1 new Perk on the character sheet, gaining any benefits listed.
This signifies an evolution of the character’s attack modifier deck. Apply the bonuses of the marked perk box to the character’s modifier deck using the class’s accompanying deck of available modifier cards. If a perk has multiple check boxes next to it, this means that the perk can be gained multiple times for the cost of one perk each.
3 - Note that a characters Max HP will now be increased.
Leveling up never changes a character’s maximum hand size. This is fixed for each class.
