Other Emotions want to avoid Fear. An opposing Spirit must pay a penalty of 1 Essence (to the general supply) when invoking an Emotion on a slot adjacent to Fear. (If the Spirit can’t pay the penalty, the Emotion cannot be invoked there.)

This is a Mild Emotion. If this Emotion is Empowered, it is replaced with a Strong Emotion called PANIC.
