1) Choose any Hero as your character. Turn one of the Health Boards over to reveal the Solo Board. Use the other for your health and set it up with your Hero’s pieces. Get your character’s given items from the Market. Get 5 coin, three scrolls and activate three quests. Put the Agrimor card on the castle.

2) Place a red Region Stone on the arrow of the brown (upper) hexagons and a green Region Stone on the arrow of the green (lower) hexagons.

3) Take out one Medallion Piece (the rest are left out of the game). The Medallion Piece you choose can only be used to revive you once, after which it is removed from the game.

4) Start at any Inn.

5) Normal moving rules, enemy battling, and general gameplay rules apply.

6) Three ways of winning:

- Defeat Agrimor to retrieve the Crown of the King and win.

- Make it to the end of one of the challenges on the Solo Board.

- Make it to or beyond the red highlighted hexagons of both of the challenges on the Solo Board.
