Robinson Crusoe

5. Weather Phase

Weather dice

There are three Weather dice. Check the scenario sheet to determine which dice to roll during each round, and roll them. If there are any dice already placed on the Weather space because of earlier game effects, these must always be rolled.

No die can be rolled more than once per Weather phase. For instance, if a card effect and the scenario sheet both say to roll the Hungry Animals die, you only roll it once.

Resolving the weather

1. Snow: Count the number of snow clouds on dice and any tokens in the Weather space. Discard 1 wood for each snow cloud. If there are more snow clouds than available wood, each player in camp suffers 1 Wound for each wood that could not be discarded (this is the rule of unfulfilled demand).

2. Snow & rain: Total the number of rain clouds and snow clouds on dice and any tokens in the Weather space. Deduct from this total the current Roof level. For every remaining cloud, discard 1 food and 1 wood. If there are more clouds than available resources, each player in camp suffers 1 Wound for each resource marker that could not be discarded (this is the rule of unfulfilled demand).

3. Hungry animals: Resolve this die as follows:

Discard 1 food or each character suffers 1 Wound.

Decrease the Palisade level by 1 or each character suffers 1 * Wound.

Fight a combat against a strength 3 beast.

Storms

If the storm token is in the Weather space, its effect applies after all other steps in the Weather Phase. The Palisade level must be decreased by 1. If this is not possible, each player suffers 1 Wound.

Spending the night outside camp

If you spend the night outside camp because of a game effect, you are not affected by weather effects in the Weather Phase.

End of the Weather Phase

Discard all Weather tokens.
