Catacombs pits a team of four heroes against one Overseer. Players control the heroes (represented by wooden discs) that work together as they fight their way through a series of rooms filled with monsters and a Catacomb Lord, all controlled by the Overseer.

You will need dexterity and practice to be victorious and save the town of Stormtryne. Battles are fought by skillfully flicking different types of wooden pieces across the playmats that represent different rooms in the catacomb. If the heroes survive all the rooms, they face the object of their quest: a fight to the finish with the Catacomb Lord in its lair. 

If the heroes defeat the Catacomb Lord, they win. The Overseer wins by defeating all four heroes at any point during the game.
