When flipping the Torch Mat to the Act 2 side, do I trigger any immediate actions, when placing a Torch on a space with an immediate action icon?

No
You trigger the immediate actions only when moving the Torch down (not when placing it on the Torch Mat during setup or when flipping the Mat to the Act 2 side).
