When using Shadow Walk, do I have to stop when entering an unexplored room with an enemy Ambush?
No.
With any form of stealth movement you can ignore all enemies while you move.

When a Hero enters a room in any form of stealth mode, the enemy doesn't notice this and is therefore unable to ambush.

How many heroes and enemies can be in a single room?

Any number of heroes and enemies can be in a room at the same time.

Can I perform a Free Action in the middle of another Action?
Modifying a Hero Die by 1 is the only Free Action you are allowed to perform in the middle of another Action.

No
You trigger the immediate actions only when moving the Torch down (not when placing it on the Torch Mat during setup or when flipping the Mat to the Act 2 side).

Can I Cast Spells to affect heroes in the Boss's Lair, while I am outside of the Lair?
No
You cannot Cast Spells from outside the Boss's Lair to affect any heroes currently on the Boss Mat and vice versa.
If the Boss leaves its Lair and then comes back there, can I attack the Boss from outside the Lair?
No
If you move the Boss back to the Boss Mat, in order to attack the Boss you must move from the Lair Door Card to the Boss mat. While a Boss is in its Lair, heroes outside cannot use any attacks, including Missile or Spell Attacks, against it. All your attacks must be done while on the Boss Mat.
When an enemy attacks in the Boss's Lair, does it damage all heroes within range?
No
Any attack the Boss (or any Goblin on the Boss Mat) uses while in the Lair only affects heroes on the Boss Mat, even if other heroes are within the listed range of the attack outside of the Lair.
Who takes their actions first (when Enemy Actions are triggered): the Goblins or the Boss?
The Goblins
When the torch lands on or passes an Enemy Action while moving down the track, the Boss makes the attack listed on its mat after the Goblins have resolved their attacks.

Can I Taunt the Boss several times in a single turn?
Yes
Just like any other Free Action, you may use the Taunt the Boss action multiple times, as long as you have Focus to spend.
When I Taunt the Boss, does the Boss stop moving, if it enters a room with another hero?
No
If you use the Taunt the Boss Free Action, you are the Boss’s target - it will ignore every other hero except for you.
Can the Boss's Health Markers move onto an uncovered Altar space?
No
Health markers cannot move onto or past a Boss's Health Track space marked with an Altar icon unless there is an Altar Marker placed there.
Can I partially damage the Boss, if the full damage would reach or pass an uncovered Altar space?
Yes
The Boss absorbs any damage, including partial damage, up to the uncovered Altar space (but is not hurt by any remaining damage that would match or pass an uncovered Altar space).
Can I split damage between multiple Boss Health Markers?
Yes
When applying damage to the Boss's Health Track, one marker can be moved the full amount of damage, or the damage can be spread across any number of markers.
Can I attack the Boss, when it is not in the Lair?
Yes
When the Boss is in the Dungeon and not on the Boss Mat, heroes can attack it as if it were any other enemy.

Can I attack both the Boss and Goblins in the Boss's lair?
No
When you are in the Boss's lair and perform an Attack, you must choose to target the Boss or a Goblin.
Which Heroes do Goblins target in the Boss's lair?
All Heroes there
When a Goblin is on the Boss's lair, they target all Heroes in the lair with their Enemy Action
Can a Goblin enter the Boss's lair?
Yes
Goblins can also enter the Boss’s lair, if that is where the nearest hero to the Goblin is. Goblins are placed in the center of the mat.
Do I gain the additional effects on the Boss Mat, when I start my turn there?
No
The additional effects on the Boss Mat only trigger when a hero ends their movement on one of these spaces. It does not trigger if a hero starts their turn on the space.

Can I move through the Hero Spaces after I enter the Boss's lair, if I have Speed left?
Yes
You can use any remaining movement after entering the Boss's lair to move to adjacent Hero Spaces, as if they are rooms with connecting pathways linking them.

You can leave the Boss Mat by moving through the entrance space and back to the Lair Door Card (and continue your turn).

How many Heroes can stand on the same Hero Space on the Boss Mat?

You can move past other heroes on spaces, but you cannot share the same space once movement is complete for a turn. If a hero has only 1 speed remaining to move onto the Boss Mat from the Lair Door Card, but a hero is already on the entrance space, then that hero cannot move to the Boss Mat.

Once you are in the Boss's lair, all forms of attack and range are allowed: all heroes and enemies are both in the same room and in line-of-sight of each other.

Once the Lair Door Card is revealed, the door is locked until all Minions have been defeated (1 per hero in the game).

Does the Boss have to stop at a room with an Altar Marker to remove the Marker?
No
The Boss has to enter the room with an Altar Marker to remove it. It then continues its movement, if necessary.
Do I get any bonus for having 1 item of a Legendary Set?
No
There is no set bonus for having only one item of a set, but having even two unlocks the first level of the effect. Each extra piece increases the bonus.
Is there a limit of Spell and Trinket cards I can equip?
Yes
Each hero may equip up to 2 Spell and 2 Trinket cards, as shown in the top right corner of each Hero Mat. Note that you may discard your equipped cards as a Free Action to make room for new cards.

I have covered my starting ability with a Hand loot card and later discarded the card. Can I now use the previously-covered ability?
Yes
Equipping a hand loot card will cover one of the starting items or abilities listed on the bottom of the Hero mat; discarding that loot allows that item/ability underneath to be available for use again.

Can I give my loot or spell cards to another player?
Not directly.
You cannot give a loot or a spell card directly to another hero. However, you can discard a card as a Free Action; then another player may gain the card by resolving a ‘discover’ or a ‘pick up’ action on their turn.

Can I discard a loot or a spell card which I have equipped on my mat?
Yes
You can always discard a card from your mat as a Free Action on your turn, placing it into its appropriate discard row.

If you reveal rooms without entering them, you don't perform any Goblin/Minion/Trap Encounters, because you need to enter a room to resolve an Encounter there.
Do I have to spend speed to move from the Lair Door Card to the Boss Mat?
Yes
Though Entering the Boss’s Lair is a Free Action, the hero still needs to spend 1 speed to move from the Lair Door Card to the Boss Mat’s Entrance space.
Can I change a die face result from 1 to 6 or from 6 to 1?
No
You cannot change a die face above 6, below 1, or go from 6 to 1 or from 1 to 6.

You can repeat the 'Modify a Hero Die by 1' action as many times as you want, as long as you have 2 Focus to spend.

If multiple enemies are targeted with a single attack and can then Counter-Attack, only one of those enemies Counter- Attacks — you choose which.

If your spell check is successful, any Focus from unused dice is gained immediately and can be used to perform the spell’s effect. Focus from unused dice is gained before the spell’s effect is resolved, not after.

When you enter a room with a Trap in it, you must immediately perform the trap’s Skill Check. Only afterwards you may perform a Disarm Heroic action. However, you don't have to perform the trap's Skill Check, if you have started your turn already in this room (in this case you've already had to perform the Skill Check, when you entered the room earlier).
