Bayou Bash is played across a series of Rounds, which repeat until a Racer moves onto the Finish Line. Each Round is divided into three phases:

1. Event Phase

Play and resolve the top card of the Event Deck.

2. Racing Phase

a. In Turn Order, players draft Jockey Cards.

b. In Turn Order, each player takes their Movement Turn.

3. Fan Phase

The Racer closest to the Finish Line, and on the Track, gains two Fans.

When a Racer lands on the Finish Line, the current Racing Phase is completed (allowing all Racers to finish their moves) and then the game ends.
