Ships and Sectors

There are a total of seven different ship types that players can interact with, as shown on the diagram below.

House ships are the ships with an affiliation to a House:

Arkships, Fighters, Dropships and Shuttles.

Other ships include:

Frigates, the Revenant and Voidborn ships.

When you deploy a House ship, select 1 Arkship, Fighter, Dropship, or Shuttle from the common supply, then place it on the main board on a sector of your choice.

A variant of the above effect is to deploy a House ship except an Arkship.

There are 12 sectors on the main board: 8 numbered outer sectors and 4 inner sectors enclosing the Revenant.

Your sector is the one containing the Crew member you are using this turn, at any moment. Your sector changes every turn, and every time you move the ship that your Crew member is boarding. By default every effect is resolved in your sector, except containing Corruption (see Resources and Corruption).

Adjacent sectors are the ones next to your sector, divided by solid lines. Effects with this icon can be resolved in both your sector and adjacent sectors.

Some effects may be resolved in any sector.

The outer sectors have ship limits printed on them which can never be surpassed when deploying or moving ships.

2 Arkships in Sectors 3 and 7

1 Arkship in Sectors 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8.

4 Fighters, Dropships, or Shuttles in total (in any combination).

6 Voidborn ships.

There is no limit of Frigates in a sector.

Ships may be moved into inner sectors (see Movement), but you may never end your turn with any ship remaining in an inner sector.
