Champion suffering Force can be moved into a hex containing a trap.
What's the difference between Dash and Swoop?

Swooping Champions may Swoop through statues and Enemies as Dash is restricted to the normal restrictions considering movement.
Who chooses which direction a Champion affected by Fear will Dash?

If an Action or Reaction applies Fear, the Champion who suffered the Fear effect must Dash X in a direction of their choice, as long as it is away from the source of the Fear. If multiple choices are available, the Champion must choose the one that takes them the furthest away from the source of the Fear, moving the maximum Dash value they possibly can.
Does a Champion have to follow movement rules considering statues and Enemies when Dashing?

Challenge cards that require Champions to be adjacent to a statue, do they also require the Champion to be on the colored hexes?

Adjacent to the statue is enough. The color is shown on the card to make it easier to spot the correct statue.

Hex row is a straight continuous line of adjacent hexes.
Do rooted Champions suffer damage when Pulled or Pushed?
Yes
As the target cannot move, any Push or Pull distance will cause damage as normal. Fear and Force cannot move a Champion suffering root, but do not cause damage, as neither keyword usually causes damage for failing to complete the movement.
Can traps level up a Champion?
Yes
If the trap was triggered because of a card effect (for example when a Champion uses an attack that pushes the defender into a trap), the damage is considered to be caused by the source of that effect. This may result in Levelling Up Champions as normal.
What causes a Champion to level up?

Taking an Enemy Champion out of action causes a Champion to level up. If the Champion is already levelled up, nothing happens.
When taken out of action by an Ally, does the opponent gain a Victory Point?
Yes
If a Champion is taken out of action, the opponent scores 1 VP. It doesn't matter if the Champion was taken out of action by an Enemy or an Ally.
When playing a card, is it mandatory to resolve it fully?
No
For example, cards can be played just to use the move ability. Note that cards and standard actions are played one at a time, Any unresolved actions cannot be resolved after the next card or standard action is played.
Do Reactions exhaust Cores?
Yes
Playing a Reaction card requires the player to exhaust a matching Core.
Can multiple Reaction cards be played?
1 per attack
Only one Reaction card can be played per attack, even if multiple Champions are targeted.
Can pre-attack and post-attack abilities be used if an attack did not take place?
Yes and No
Post-attack abilities are only resolved if an attack did take place. Pre-attack abilities can be used whether the attack is resolved or not.
Do I have to resolve the attack when an attack card is played?
No
Resolving the attack is not mandatory. For example, cards can be played just to use the move ability.
Do I have to move a Champion if I play a card with a movement icon?
Can a Champion be activated multiple times per turn?

Champions may be activated more than once per turn as long as the appropriate Core can be exhausted to pay for it.
What if the Challenge card deck is emptied?

If a player is instructed to draw cards from an empty deck, they shuffle their discard pile to form a new draw deck.

Champions can only target Enemy Champions. Area of Effect (AoE) attacks that include an Enemy Champion in the AoE fulfil this condition, even if an Ally is also in the AoE.
What happens if a card cannot be fully resolved?

When resolving a card, if a card cannot be fully resolved, forfeit the part that cannot be resolved.
When an effect deals damage to a champion, does the Champion's Defence value have an effect on the damage dealt?

Defence value is only used when an attack card's strength is compared to it.

The first Player to reach 5 VP immediately wins the game. If a card takes a Champion from each team out of action simultaneously, both players gain 1VP and Level Up the appropriate Champions. If this would end the game in a draw (due to both players now being tied with 5 or more VPs), the player who didn’t play the card wins.
