If I play a card which lets me move any army to an adjacent region, can I move my Leader or Hero figurine?
Yes
When an action instructs you to move any army (a shield with a question mark icon), you may move one of your Leaders/Heroes instead of an army.

Is the number of Army Tokens on the board limited by the number of components?
Yes
If there are not enough Army Tokens in an Army Pool when an action instructs to add this specific army, then an army cannot be added.

No
You must perform any type of action to its fullest, if possible. If not possible, perform as much of it as you can.

You can still perform this action even if you do not have 1 token to lose.

Can I play my Leader cards again in the 2nd Round?
Yes
When preparing for Round II, return the 2 Leader Cards to your hand.
Can I keep unplayed Round I cards for the 2nd Round?
No, but gain ATs
When preparing for Round II, you must discard all unplayed Round I Cards in your hand to their respective discard piles, and gain 1 additional Action Token for each card discarded from your hand.
Do I keep Round I cards with a Permanent Effect for the 2nd Round?
Yes
Don't discard the Round I cards with a Permanent Effect when preparing for Round II - they will continue to provide with their benefits until the end of the game.
Do I get extra Action Tokens when preparing for the 2nd Round?
Possibly
When you prepare for the Round II, you gain UP TO the amount of Starting Action Tokens listed on your Leader Mat. Note that if you already have this amount of Action Tokens or more, you don't gain any more.
Where should I place the Succession Token, if there is only 1 Region left without a Peace Token?
Remove it
If there is only one Region left without a Peace Token, the Succession Token is not placed and is removed from the board.
Can I place a Succession Token into a Region with a Peace Token?
No
Only 1 Conflict may be resolved in each Region per Round, and this is marked with the Peace Token. Therefore you cannot place a Succession Token into a Region which has a Peace Token.
What is the maximum number of armies that may be left after a Conflict?
5
If there are more than 5 armies in the Region after a Conflict then armies must be disbanded until there are 5 or fewer.
How many Action Tokens do I receive when I lose a Conflict?
2 or 4
If a player’s Allegiance is with the losing side, they score no points. Instead, they gain 2 Action Tokens. If a player is the only losing player, they gain 2 additional Action Tokens as the On-Your-Own Bonus (so 4 in total).
How many extra Victory Points do I score if I'm the only winning player in the Conflict?
5
If you're the only winner in the Conflict, you gain the On-Your-Own Bonus, scoring 5 additional 5 Victory Points.
Can I score my Leader, if I have the figurine in the Conflict Region?
No
You can only choose allied armies and your heroes in the region to score them, but not your Leader.
What is the maximum number of armies and heroes I can score in a single Conflict?

If you are allied to the winning side, you may choose a combination of up to 5 armies and/or your hero figurines in the Conflict Region (all of whom are aligned to the winning faction) and score them.
If there is a tie in fifth and final Conflict Region, does the Conflict repeat in this region again?
No
If there is a tie in the fifth and final Conflict Region of a Round: Nobody gains benefits for winning/losing and a Peace Token is not placed. Then ignore this Region—it will not have a Peace Token for this Round. Instead, proceed to Phase 3: Cleanup or Final Scoring, depending on which Round
Who gains the Invasion Token, if all players consecutively pass without Preparing for Invasion?
Last player
If all players have passed and no one has performed Prepare for Invasion, then the last player who passed automatically gains the Invasion Token, however does not gain the Prepare for Invasion Action Tokens.

Do I have to pass if I don't perform a Primary Action?
Yes
If you are unable or don't want to perform a Primary Action, then you must pass.

Can I take more turns during the same Conflict after I pass?
Usually yes
If you pass, you are not out automatically out of the game for the remainder of the Conflict. ALL players must pass consecutively to start resolving the Conflict. If any player has taken a Primary Action, you may take a turn again, even if you have previously passed. However, if you choose to Prepare for Invasion when passing, you cannot take any more turns during this Conflict.

You can only perform one Primary Action using the Action Market or by playing a card, and your turn ends after resolving it. Primary Actions change the state-of-the-board in some way, whether it be adding, removing, or moving units, changing your Allegiance, or moving the entire Conflict to another Region.

Which player takes the 1st turn in a game with 2 players?
2nd lowest Intiative
In a 2-player game, the player who placed the Succession Token (the one with the second lowest Initiative) takes the first turn.
Do I need to wait for my turn to play the instant cards (marked with the lightning icon)?
No
If after drafting (or drawing cards during the game) any players have any Instant Cards (with a lightning icon) in their hand, immediately play those cards face-up onto the table and resolve the actions listed on them.

How many cards do I draft each round?

Each round, you draw 5 cards, choosing 1 of them and passing others to the next player (to the left in Round I and to the right in Round II). Repeat this process until you have drafted 4 cards (discarding the last remaining card to a separate discard pile).

Can Strength in the Conflict Region exceed 15?
Yes
If Strength ever goes higher than 15, flip the Strength Marker to its “15+” side and place it at the track’s beginning.

How much Strength does a standard figurine contribute to its region?

Figurines (both Leaders and Heroes) in a Region by default contribute 1 Strength to whichever faction their player is aligned with. Note that some figurines may have different Strength values listed on their cards or mats. For example, Uhtred’s Permanent Effect changes his strength.

Which players score points when a Conflict is resolved?
Allied to the winner
After a Conflict is resolved, if you are aligned with the winning side you score Victory Points based on how many of your side’s units are in the Conflict Region. The amount of Victory Points is based on your Affinity Level with factions in the Region.

Can I change my Allegiance whenever I want to?

Your Allegiance token may be changed only when a “Change Allegiance” action is performed from a card or Action Plaque.
