When you suffer any amount of damage, you place that many damage tokens on empty heart spaces on a human in your group.

! You must place all damage from a single card on a single human. You cannot divide up the damage from a card among multiple humans.

• If all of a human’s heart spaces are covered by damage tokens, but you need to place more damage on that human, you place 1 damage token on the skull space. When this happens, the human dies. Any remaining damage is ignored.

• When a human dies, return their damage tokens to the supply, place the human in the graveyard, and place a skull token on the night board.

• If the last human in your group dies, immediately after placing the skull token, you draw a new human card from the human deck. Tools and other cards in your group stay with you.
