If the help symbol is shown inside the action box, it is a requirement. In order to fulfil this requirement you must choose the Help Action on your current card, and then you will be able to perform this action instead. Cards like these can be available in the player’s group, or on the game boards.

• You can also help a card together. To do this, all helping players must use help actions to meet requirements or receive rewards.

• When you use an alternative action, do not discard the card, unless otherwise stated. Alternative Action Cards typically remain in play and you can use them again later.

If a card with the help symbol requirement is part of a player's group, then that player must be involved in completing it. This means you cannot choose to use an Alternative Action on a card in another player's group, unless that player also chooses the help action to take part in the action.
