Find the character cards, shuffle them, and give one face up to each player. Each player now announces the name of his character and reads his ability.

Each player takes as many bullets as shown on their character, and puts them on their playing board.

The Sheriff plays the game with one additional bullet, take an extra bullet and place it on the Sheriff's playing board.
