A basic troop has 1 vitality and is removed from the map when it suffers 1 point of damage.
Different elite troops have different levels of vitality. An elite troop’s starting vitality (that is, its vitality when deployed) is the largest number on its die. Each time an elite troop suffers a point of damage, its vitality is reduced by one. When an elite troop’s vitality is reduced to zero, it is removed from the map.
