Phase 6: Victory Points

menu

In this phase, players gain victory points based on the map regions their troops occupy.

Examine each region on the map, in order, and award victory points as follows:

CONTROL: The player with the most troops in the region gets the number of victory points shown on its VP token.

DOMINATION: If the player who controlled the region is also the only player with troops there, they receive one extra victory point.

The symbols shown on VP tokens are ignored in this phase. They are only used during the Spoils Phase. If multiple players are tied for control of a region, no one gains the victory points.

Many elite troops have special abilities that allow them to claim additional victory points from regions they occupy. For each unique troop with 4 in a region, gain # VP during scoring (you can only claim one VP bonus per specific elite troop type per region. For example, if you have two Stoics in the same region, you only gain one bonus in that region).

If one player has now reached or exceeded 30 victory points, they are the winner! If more than one player has done so, the player with the highest total wins. If there’s a tie, the tied player who controls more regions (not counting the Shores region) is the winner. If there’s still a tie, players will engage in a game of Wrock Paper Scissors to break it (or they will choose to share the victory).
