Base Plates & Difficulty/ Variety:

TESSERACT comes with 4 double-sided base plates. Each base plate is geared for a different level of difficulty and has a second side that adds variety to play at a similar level of difficulty.

For your first game, it is recommended to start with Base Plate 1, particularly if you are new to cooperative games or have younger players at the table. However, if you are already familiar with coop game strategy, you may prefer to start with Base Plate 2. Thereafter, try the variation side or challenge yourself further with other base plates.

Base Plate difficulty levels:

Base Plate numbers Increase with difficulty. Base Plate letters are variants at that difficulty level.
