Each player must place both their riders in the yellow area behind the starting lane.

Starting with the player who most recently rode a bicycle (with the youngest player if that is tied), place both riders in the starting area.

You may place your Rouleur or Sprinteur first, as you wish, but you get to place both before the next player can place their riders.

The rider can be placed in any available space, remembering that the first rider placed in each square should be put into the right hand lane (the one marked with a double white line)

After the first player has placed both of their riders setup continues with the player to their left, continuing in clockwise direction until all players have placed their riders.
