Tasks Mostly

At the end of the game, you get points for completed tasks, closed off territories with flags, and for your longest Track and Stream. Unlocking new components during the campaign gives you more scoring options.

The game ends when you run out Landscape tiles to place.

Only Forest, Grain, and Village territory types have tiles with flags. However, at the end of the game, you score points for your longest Track and Stream.

When placing a Task tile, it cannot be placed in a way that would cause the new task to fail. Placing tiles may cause tasks placed previously to fail, but new tasks must be placed so that there is a chance to complete them.

Tasks can fail, for example if placing a tile causes a territory to be larger than the task requires, or a territory is closed of before the task is completed.

Each turn a tile is revealed and placed on the play area. If there are less than 3 active tasks in play, a Task tile with a Task marker is revealed and placed. Landscape tiles are placed when there are 3 active tasks in play.
