The Rival competes at all locations, regardless of whether it has a Posse Token there or not. The Rival never gains influence or benefits from Buildings Cards; however, the Rival may stop the player from gaining them. The Rival has two Poker Cards and always selects the best card (to make the highest ranking hand) for each individual location. However, the Rival may only use one card from its hand at a time.
