The game ends immediately when there are either 4 students or 3 witches on the goal tile.
• Players WIN, if 4 students reach the goal tile first, and thus save Master Balduin!
• Players LOSE, if 3 witches get to the goal tile first and thus steal Master Balduin's Magic Wand.
Note that the game cannot end in a tie because the figures are moved one by one. A player must finish moving the previous figure first, before moving another one. The game ends immediately when an end condition is met. Note, that sometimes this can happen in the middle of a player's turn without the will-o´-the-wisp even reaching the end of the forest.
