Can I play more than 1 tile per turn?

The only way to play more than 1 tile per turn is to play a Parrot Character, which allows you to draw and play 1 more tile.
Am I forced to play a tile each turn?
Yes
You draw 1 tile and either play it OR flip and play it on its other side. You might also need to resolve an immediate effect of your played Character or a Colmn bonus.

What does flipping a tile mean?
On your turn, if you don't wish to play your drawn Character tile, you may flip it to the other side. If you decide to flip the tile, you must keep the new Character and play it. Additionally, the Monkey Character allows players to flip previously played Character on their board to their other side.

Do I get more Coins by playing multiple Swabbies in the same column?
No
The amount of Swabby Characters in the same column doesn't increase the amount of Coins you receive from them.
What does the Swabby Character do?
At the end of the game take [1/4/9/16/25] Coins if you have at least 1 Swabby Character in [1/2/3/4/5] columns.
What does the Parrrot Character do?
Draw and play a new tile. Additionally, at the end of the game you lose 1 Coin.
What does the Monkey Character do?
Take 1 Coin, then flip on adjacent tile. Apply the effect of the revealed Character.
What does the Gunner Character do?
Take 5 Coins. Additionally, at the end of the game, If you have 3 or more Gunners on your board, you lose the game.
What does the Cook Character do?
Take 1 Coin per Character in their row, including the Cook themself.
What does the Navigator Character do?
Take 2 Coins per Cartographer on your board.
Can I play the Cartographer if I already have the Treasure Map?
