Two spaces are considered to be adjacent, if they are located immediately to the right, left, bottom or top of one another.

There can't be any free spaces between two adjacent spaces.

Tiles in adjacent spaces are considered to be adjacent as well. This is important for the effect of a Monkey Character tile.
