A player may draw a single face up Gold card or take 2 Goods cards choosing between the face up cards or the face down cards from the Resource deck. If a face up card is drawn, a replacement card is immediately revealed from the Resource deck. If the Resource deck ever runs out, shuffle the discard pile to form a new Resource deck.

A player can't take a face up Gold card if it's their second card to draw.

Note: If a player draws a Gold card from the face down Resource deck, they can still draw their second Resource card as long as it isn't a face up Gold card.

There is no limit to how many cards a player can have in their hands.
