Sabotage Phase (Played in turns)

Now that everyone has chosen a Faerie card, note the Rank value on your card.

Everyone holds up fingers indicating the Rank of their chosen Faerie (1 to 5).

Starting with the player holding the Faerie of the highest Rank (5, then 4, 3, 2, 1), players will play the kept card into their Alliance and completely resolve any Faerie Powers before proceeding to the next highest Rank.

If one or more players are tied for Rank, begin with the Scepter Holder and proceed in the Round Direction to break the tie.

EXAMPLE

Player B has played the highest Ranked Faerie (5) and will resolve theirs first.

Next, Players A and D have both played Faeries with a Rank of 3.

To break the tie, begin with the Scepter Holder and move in the Direction of Play.

Because the Direction of Play is to the right, Player D wins the tie and will resolve their Faerie next, followed by Player A and, lastly, Player C (2).

Some Faerie Powers are only important for scoring purposes at the end of the game. Others have effects that target one or more Faeries in play.

Kept cards that have not yet been played are not affected by resolving Powers. See “Faerie Tribes and Powers” for detailed descriptions of their effects.

When adding any new Faerie to your Alliance, layer cards of the same Tribe overtop of one another, so that the Ranks of each card remain visible in a column.
