Table Layout

After selecting the supplemental sets to add, shuffle the cards together to create the draw deck. Place the deck in the center of the play area. Use the Ocean and Reef cards or play mats to designate the Ocean and Reef zones of the play area. Place the Trophy in the Reef to start the game.

If you do not have the Ocean and Reef mats, your set should have come with an ocean (right) and reef (below) card provided. Place these on the table as the areas you want to designate as the Ocean and Reef.

While the Trophy card starts in the Reef, once the first player claims the Reef it will be placed in front of that player and from then on will always be in possession of a player.

Note: The Trophy item is different depending on the version of the game purchased.
