Can the game be played with more than 2 people?
Yes
With 2 copies of Dorfromantik - The Duel, you can play with up to 4 people. Of course, you can also play Dorfromantik - The Duel with more people by having 2 teams of any number of players play against each other.

When do I get to place a Landscape tile?
3 Active Tasks
If there are 3 (or more) Task tiles with Task markers on them in both play areas, turn over 1 new Landscape tile and place it in your play area according to the placement rules.

Which Tile edges must match adjacent Tile's edges?
Tracks & Streams
Tracks and Streams must always match edges with their own type. You are allowed to place the tile edges depicting Forest, Grain, and Village, as well as the neutral Meadow, however you wish. They are not required to match edge types.

What does the number on a Task marker refer to?
Number of Tiles
This number indicates how many tiles the corresponding territory or Track/ Stream must consist of for this Task marker to be considered completed.

Are Flags worth points?

At the end of the game, you only get points for Flags in territories that have been closed-off.

Out of Tiles
The game ends immediately when you are required to reveal a Landscape tile and there are none remaining.

Both players will place identical tiles (and Task markers) individually to their own play areas.
Is this game played as a campaign like the first Dorfromantik board game?
No
There are modules you can add to the game for variety, but the game is not a campaign.
