The placement of enemies across different locations can make it confusing to keep track of them. To help keep defeated enemies separate, move them to the Rose Garden — a new table area — where they can wait to be processed and discarded in the proper step.

Exception: If you defeat an enemy with an instant reward, you must immediately decide whether to take the instant reward or the gold reward. If you take the , gain it immediately and then discard the enemy. If you would like the gold, add it to the Rose Garden and gain the gold during the Gain Item Rewards step.
