If you move into a region with an exploration token and a neutral meeple, you resolve the war with the neutral meeple first. After winning the war, flip and resolve the token.

A meeple is knocked over only when it enters or expands into the ruins, so you must move it out of and back to the region to knock it over again.

If the meeple is standing up, it is no longer searching the ruins and therefore cannot collect resources, however, it can patrol and quest as normal.

You may discard any number of one resource type and gain an equal number of another resource type. (For example, you may discard 3 food to gain 3 ore.) However, you cannot trade multiple times using different resource types during a single trade action.
After advancing my magic level, do I retain all magic abilities of lower levels?

Once you advance your magic level, you have access to the special ability given by that magic level and any already learned.

When an alliance is broken and I choose to retreat with multiple meeples, do I need to pay the cost of retreat for each meeple separately?

For each meeple you have in a region with your former ally, you must choose separately to either lose the meeple or to retreat with it, paying 1 food for each of your meeples in play at the time this meeple is retreating. You may choose the order you resolve this for each meeple. So you may lose one meeple first to reduce the retreating cost for another meeple.
When does an alliance between players end?

Once allied players do not have any more regions with both of their meeples together, they are no longer in an alliance.
