SHOBU is played in alternating turns, with the Black player taking the first turn.
A turn is comprised of TWO moves: a Passive (or Set Up) move, followed by an Aggressive move.
1. A passive move is played on either of the player's Homeboards.
2. The Aggressive move is played on either board of the different color than the passive move.
Players may find it helpful to plan their Aggressive move first and then see if a Passive move is available to support it.
Player's cannot move their own stones off the board.
Stones cannot travel between the boards.
Your turn is final when you have completed both moves. You can change your Passive move until you play your Aggressive move.
