Excuse cards are part of the Cop-Out deck. Excuses are played on Commitments.

The value of an Excuse card is in the lower left corner. Values range from 1 to 11.

Play any number of Excuse cards in hand, that the sum is equal to or greater than the value of the Commitment to avoid it. Other players may play Influence cards on the Commitment to temporarily increase its value, requiring more Excuses to beat it.

If you do not have enough Excuses to avoid a Commitment, you must take that Commitment and display it in front of you as part of your score total.

Keep in mind, the only time you will receive additional Excuse cards will be on the beginning of your turn, spend them wisely!
