SCORING

Use can use the score pad to add up your points and total score. The following items affect your points:

Terrain Segments of 7+ Spaces: 3 points each

Energy Sources surrounded by other Land Tiles: 8 points each

Relics that are visible (not covered by junk): 1 point each

Inhabitants: 1 point each

Buildings: according to the building cards

Junk: -1 point (one negative point). Junk additionally negates the point of a covered Relic.

TERRAIN SEGMENT = 3 points

• Each Terrain Segment of seven or more (7+) spaces is worth 3 points.

• You can earn these points for each segment of 7+ spaces, even if they are the same terrain type. For this, these segments have to be clearly separate segments, meaning they cannot share a border. If the segments of same terrain type touch only diagonally, then they are considered to be separate segments.

• You don't get double points even if a terrain segment is twice the size of 7+. For example, a terrain segment of 14 spaces still earn just 3 points.

ENERGY SOURCE = 8 points

• Each Energy Source is worth 8 points if it's surrounded by other tiles. In other words, in order to score points, the Energy source must be in the center 4 squares of the 4x4 grid.

• Energy Sources placed on the edge or corner squares of the grid do not score any points.

• You can have multiple Energy Sources in your community.

RELIC = 1 point

• Each visible Relic in your community is worth 1 point.

• There are 5 different icons for Relics: 4 of these can be found on the land tiles, and the 5th one is on the Relic Token. The specific icons of the Relics don't matter for this, just their total amount.

• Only visible Relics earn points. If a Relic is covered by a Junk/Relic Token, it is not counted.

INHABITANT = 1 point

• Each Inhabitant in your community is worth 1 point.

• The specific pictures on the Inhabitant pawns can be ignored.

BUILDINGS = points vary

• Each building is scored according to the information on the building card.

• Each Building type's base score is marked on the top left corner of the card.

Additionally, the building might have scoring information written on the card, which might earn you extra points. Some Building cards have a question mark as the base score, in which case the text indicates how the building is scored.

• Score for the buildings is the sum of total points for all 5 Building types.

JUNK = -1 point

• Each Junk Token causes a negative point.

• If a Junk Token covers a Relic icon, the Relic icon does not score.

TOTAL

Player's total score is the sum of all the above points. See rule Scoring Example for a reference.
