Playing a Round

menu

In each round players create 3 panel comics and the round's Judge decides which one is the winner.

Round structure:

1. The Judge turns over a card from any of the draw decks. If the card is black-bordered, a normal round will begin. If the card is red-bordered, a Bonus Round will begin.

NORMAL ROUND (black-bordered reveal):

2a. The Judge plays another black-bordered card either before or after the initial card.

3a. Players play the third panels face down. These can be either red-bordered or black-bordered cards.

4a. Judge shuffles the played cards and reveals and reads them out one by one.

BONUS ROUND (red-bordered reveal):

2a. Each player gets to discard as many cards from their hand as they wish. Then, each player draws cards so that they have 7 cards in their hands.

2b. Players play 2 black-bordered cards face down as the setup cards for the initial card. These can be played in a pile so that they are easier to mix, and that the first card will be turned over first.

4a. Judge shuffles the played cards and reveals and reads them out one by one.

5. Judge announces the winner, and that players takes the punchline card as a score marker.

6. Rest of the played cards are discarded.

7. Players draw new cards so that they have 7 again. If cards run out, discarded cards are shuffled into new draw decks.

8. Judge duty goes clockwise, so the next Judge will be the player on the left side of the previous Judge.
