Barrier (): Bots can have 0 or more barriers (next to the defense value). Each barrier cancels 1 critical hit of the attacking gang. In other words, the number of critical hits to defeat the Champion gang is increased by 1 for each barrier.
Basic Attack (): The value in the top center of a Bot card. Indicates the Bot's ability to attack, along with critical hits.
Basic Defense (): The value on the left side of the card. The defense value is used by the Champion's gang.
Buddy: A Bot on your gang different from the one this ability appears on.
Cards (Owned): The cards you have in front of you, both Bots that will form your deck for the Battle Phase and any Contraptions.
Challenger: The attacking player, against the current Champion.
Champion: The defending player that the Challenger attack, in turn.
Clash: Within a Battle Phase, a confrontation between a Challenger and the Champion, which ends with the victory of one of the two.
Creating Crystals: A Bot that has this ability can, under certain circumstances, generate crystals. These crystals are equivalent to the won in the Battle Phase. The crystals obtained with this ability are taken from the common supply and placed in Storage.
Critical Hit (): Bots can have 0 or more critical hits (next to the attack value). With 4 critical hits, you can beat a defense gang that has no barriers.
Defeated (Bot): Place the card in the discard pile next to your battle deck (not the Recycle Area). The discarded cards are not lost, they are just out of that Battle Phasem but will be usable again in the next round. Some abilities allow you to recover defeated cards during the Battle Phase.
Defense / Attack Gang: It can be the Champion's gang, with a group of Bots on defense (only one at the start of the Battle), or a Challenger's gang, with a group of Bots on attack. Contraptions are never part of a gang.
Energize: During each of your Build Phase, you can energize up to 3 crystals (there is no limit in the Showdown). To energize a crystal, move it from your Storage to the Reactor. For each energized crystal, you can get 1 additional scrap (2 during Showdown) or Scan .
Faction: There are six of them and they represent Bots sharing a similar theme. A Bot can belong to two factions at the same time. Factions are indicated at the top left of a Bot's card. Contraptions have no factions.
Laboratory: The area of the table where the Laboratory board, the round track, decks, and Bots available during the Build Phase are located.
Recycling: During the Build Phase, Bots can be recycled to obtain the number of scraps shown in green in the lower right corner of the card.
Surrender: You no longer take part in clashes in the current Battle Phase. When a Challenger reveals their last Bot and fails to beat the Champion's gang, they surrender. When a Champion is defeated and has no other cards in their deck, they surrender.
Tier (Bot): The symbol in the top right of a Bot card. It shows which deck the Bot belongs to, ranging from 0 (starting Bots) to 4 Stars
. Bots with a
are transformed versions of other Bots.
Tier (Workshop): It shows the maximum Bot tier you can build. During the Build Phase, you can increase this tier by spending 3 scraps. The maxmium tier is 4 Stars .
Trash: A trashed card is placed in the Recycling Area: Unlike Recycling, you do not obtain scraps.
